Commissioner O'Leary moved to excuse Vice -Chair Haddad for due cause. Seconded by Commissioner Cordes and unanimously carried. ■ Pledge of Allegiance ORAL COMMUNICATIONS / PUBLIC COMMENT: NONE CONSENT CALENDAR: 1. Planning Commission Minutes of February 28, 2023. Commissioner Cordes made a motion to approve the minutes of February 28, 2023, listed on the Consent Calendar. Seconded by Commissioner O'Leary and approved unanimously by the following votes: AYES: Commissioner — Cordes, O'Leary, Chair Guan ABSTAIN: Commissioner— Lee NOES: Commissioner— None ABSENT: Commissioner — Vice -Chair Haddad PAGE 1 OF 4 PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES MARCH 28, 2023 PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS: 2. PL 23-3952 A request for a time extension for Tentative Parcel Map No. 73888 and the associated site plan review. The project is a lot split subdivision for two parcels with a new single-family residence on each parcel. The project was originally approved in 2016. The Planning Commission granted time extensions in 2018 and 2019. In 2020, the project also received an administrative 12 -month time extension per Ordinance 20-1044U of the City Council and an 18 -month automatic extension per AB 1561. The current expiration of the project is April 12, 2023. Address: Recommendation Project Planner: 5924 Reno Avenue Adopt the attached resolution finding that the project is exempt from CEQA and approving File PL 23-3952 subject to the proposed conditions of approval. Hesty Liu, Associate Planner hliu@templecity.us Associate Planner Liu gave a presentation. The Planning Commissioners commented on the proposed time extension request. Chair Guan opened the public comments. No one came forward to speak on this item. Commissioner Lee moved to close the public comments. The motion was O'Leary. Commissioner Cordes made a motion to adopt a resolution finding that the and approving file PL 23-3952 subject to the recommended conditions Commissioner O'Leary carried by the following roll call vote: AYES: ABSTAIN: NOES: ABSENT: Commissioner — Cordes, Lee, O'Leary, Chair Guan Commissioner — None Commissioner— None Commissioner— Haddad FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND REPORTS: NONE 3. Community Development Director's Report Mr. Reimers gave an update for the following locations. • 5665 Rosemead Boulevard- Exterior work is occurring. Seconded by PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES MARCH 28, 2023 • 5570 Rosemead Boulevard- Framing is complete, interior work and roof is ongoing. • 9441 Las Tunas Dive -Exterior work is being done. • 9237 Lower Azusa Road- Construction is complete. • 5300 Rosemead -Windows have been installed. • Multi -Family Objective Design Standards -Public hearing will go to City Council on April 18. • Ordinance for Artificial Turf and Landscaping -Scheduled to go to City Council on April 4. • Community Development Department Activities -Gave a monthly report update. 4.
