SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 28, 2023
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Man called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 7:01 a.m. in the City
Hall Community Room located at 9701 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City.

Manager and City Council Ortiz
Acting Captain Meza, Deputy Bui, and Deputy Lam
Mayor Pro Tem Chavez made a motion to excuse Councilmember Vizcarra and
Councilmember Yu, seconded by Councilmember Sternquist.

Jerry Jambazian, Temple City businessowner, inquired about Temple City
identification on the new patrol vehicle.

A. QUALITY OF LIFE
Deputy Lam provided an overview of the sex offender registrants, paroles, and
probationers in the City from April 1, 2023 to May 31, 2023.
B. OPERATIONS
Deputy Lam provided an update regarding arrests and operations in the City from
April 1, 2023 to May 31, 2023.

C. CRIME TRENDS
Deputy Lam provided an overview of crime trends in neighboring cities affecting
Temple City from April 1, 2023 to May 31, 2023.
D. NOTABLE ARRESTS
Deputy Lam provided an overview of notable arrests made in the City from April
1, 2023 to May 31, 2023.
Mayor Man asked questions regarding Los Angeles CADA and information
sharing between the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies.
E. CRIME STATISTICS
Deputy Lam provided an overview of the crime statistics from April 1, 2023 to
May 31, 2023.
F. TRAFFIC ISSUES
Deputy Lam provided an overview of the traffic issues from April 1, 2023 to May
31, 2023.

Deputy Lam provided an overview of the traffic statistics from April 1, 2023 to
May 31, 2023.
H. SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT TEAM ACTIVITIES
Deputy Lam provided an update on the special assignment team activities.

Deputy Lam reported on the public outreach conducted by the special
assignment team.

Deputy Lam announced upcoming meetings and events that will be conducted in
the City.
