AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING SECTION 1609 AND ADDING NEW
SECTION 1610 TO THE ZONING CODE, ARTICLE IX
OF THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING
TO COMPREHENSIVE PLANNED FACILITIES FOR PARKING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Section 160; of the Zoning Code, Article IX of.
the Temple City Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
1609. Com rehensive Planned Facilties. Areas may be
exempted, in w o e in •art, or con itiona 1, from the
parking requirements esta.lis ed in tiis £rticle, provided:
1) Such area shall be accurately described as a
"District" by the Planning Commission and shall be
processed as an amendment to Section 1610 hereof;
2) No such "District " may be established and exempted
from the provisions of Section 1603 hereof unless
at least sixty per cent (607) of all recorded
lots within such proposed "District " are then
zoned for uses first permitted in a "C " or "M "
zone;
3) Such exemption when so established shall aply
only to uses first permitted in a "'C "' or "M"
zone; and
4) Before such defined "District " may be so exempted,
proceedings under applicable legislative
authority shall have been completed to the extent
necessary to assure provision to the exempted
area of comprehensive public parking facilities.
SECTION 2. Section 1610, reading as follows, is hereby
added to Article IX of the Temple City Municipal Code:
1610. Same - "Districts ".
A. Pursuant to Section 1610 hereof, the following area
are to the extent set forth herein, exempted from
the parking requirements of this Article:
1) That certain real property described for
acquisition in Ordinance No. 64 -134 relating
to Vehicle Parking District No. 1.
2) That certain real property described for
acquisition in Ordinance No. 64 -127 relating
to Vehicle Parking District No. 2.
3) That certain real property described for
acquisition in Ordinance No. 65 -144 relating
to Vehicle Parking District No. 3.
4) That certain real property described for
acquisition in Ordinance No. 65 -149 relating
to Vehicle Parking District No. 4.

B. Such exemptions shall not apply to other than
structures located within 110 feet of front
property line.
C. Such exemptions shall apply only with respect to
floor area located at ground level.
D. Such exemptions shall not apply to the specific
parking facilities required by Section 1603 (4).
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify and attest to the
adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be pub-
lished once in the Temple City Times, a semi - weekly newspaper,
published and circulated in the City of Temple City.

1965.
