SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 6, 2023
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Man called the City Council Regular Meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. in the Council
Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue, Temple City.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilmember — Sternquist, Vizcarra, Yu (arrived at 6:11
p.m.), Chavez, Man
ABSENT: Councilmember— None
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook, City Attorney Murphy, and Community
Development Director Reimers
3. PUBLIC COMMENT — None
4. CLOSED SESSION
A. Purpose: Potential Litigation
Potential Cases: One (1)
Authority: Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2)
Representatives: City Attorney
B. Purpose: Conference with Labor Negotiator
Authority: Government Code Section 54957.6
Agency Representative: City Attorney and City Manager
Employee Group: Temple City Employee Association,
Unrepresented General, Part -Time Employees
City Council recessed to closed session at 6:11 p.m. City Council reconvened
with all members present at 6: 49 p.m.
CLOSED SESSION STATEMENT
City Attorney Murphy reported that City Council met in Closed Session on Closed
Session Item A "Potential Litigation" and Item B "Conference with Labor
Negotiator". City Council was briefed on both items and there was no reportable
action.
