ORDINANCE NO. ; -1 A.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
PREZONING PROPERTY LOCATED ON WESTERLY
SIDE OF ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD BETWEEN
CALLITA STREET ON THE NORTH AND EMPEROR
AVENUE ON THE SOUTH FROM ZONE R -1 TO
ZONE C -2.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine:
a) That the prezoning hereinafter set forth was
initiated by the Planning Commission; that heretofore
the Planning Commission pursuant to the requirements
of the Zoning Code gave due notice and appropriately
held and conducted a public hearing thereon; that
the Planning Commission heretofore forwarded its
Resolution No. 65 -152PC recommending the prezoning
hereinafter set forth.
b) That the City Council did on the 1st day of June,
1965, hold a public hearing on such matter in the
manner and means prescribed by the Zoning Code;
that at such hearing it was determined that each
member of the City Council had visited the subject
property, and further, that each City Councilman
had declared his familiarity with the property and
the circumstances surrounding the proposed pre -
zoning; that all the files, records, minutes, ex-
hibits, findings, and Resolution of the Planning
Commission pertinent to this matter were read and
received by the City Council, and that after a
public hearing thereon, the public hearing was
duly closed and the matter submitted for decision.
SECTION 2. Section 300, et seq., of the Temple City
Municipal Code and the Zone Map adopted thereby are amended
to prezone the following described property from R -1 to C -2:
8958 Callita, 8945 -8949 Emperor Avenue
and 6503 -6533 Rosemead Boulevard
SECTION 4. The City Council further finds that such pre-
zoning will be in the public interest and is effected for the
public peace, health, safety and welfare, and is based upon the
facts and for the reasons set forth in Resolution No. 65 -152PC
of the Planning Commission, which facts and reasons are incor-
porated hereby by reference.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify and attest to the
adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be pub-
lished once in the Temple City Times, a semi - weekly newspaper,
published and circulated in the City of Temple City.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of July , 1965.

meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City, held on
the 1Sth day of June , 1965, and was duly passed,
approved asrd signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk
at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 6th
day of July , 1965, by the following vote of the
Council:
