APPOINTING HEARING OFFICER - ELECTION DAY INCIDENT
WHEREAS, thc Borough of Carteret needs to appoint a hearing officer to hear
chargcs stemming from an alleged incident involving a Commissioner of the
Carteret Housing Authority which occurred during the General Election in
November 2000; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Attorney has advised the Governing Body that Spencer
Robbins, Esq. of the law firm of Robbins & Robbins, 568 Amboy Avenue, P.O.
Box 429, Woodbridgc, NJ 07095, possesses the requisite experience and expertise
to serve as said hearing officer in this matter; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that Spencer Robbins, Esq. of the law firm Robbins &
Robbins is hereby appointed Hearing Officer in the above-described matter at an
hourly rate of $125.00 not to exceed an initial maximum cost of $10,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this award is made as a professional
services contract.

and certified as a true copy of the
