It is the intent of these guidelines to establish the minimum standards that must be met in the submission of
Computer Aided Design Drafting (CADD) deliverables for the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
(MSD).
All new contracts shall adhere to the July 2019 Plan Preparation Guideline (PPG). We encourage
consultants with existing contracts to conform to the July 2019 PPG and work with their project manager to
incorporate these changes.
Note: The intent of this document is to keep you apprised of all changes to the PPG. But due to certain
circumstances the following lists may not include all modifications to the PPG. It is your responsibility to
verify compliance.
Summary of changes:
PlanPrepGuide.pdf
• Section 2.010.06 – Submittals:
Added “included in the Fee Proposal”
• Section 4.020 – Existing Data Requirements:
Changed “all trees 12” and above” to “all trees 6” and above”.
• Added layer “Construction Limits” in Appendix C
EsmtPrepGuide.pdf
• Added note to modify the logo, address, name, etc. to reflect the signing surveyor’s information to
all drawing examples.

• Replaced the word “Temporary Construction License” with “Temporary Construction Easement”.
