RESOLUTION NO. 23-5707
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND RELATED SALARY RANGE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City adopted and revised Personnel Rules for full-
time and part-time employees on February 21, 2017.
WHEREAS, Article 5, Section 2, of the revised Personnel Rules hereby states that the Employee
Classification Plan shall be adopted by and may be amended from time to time by Resolution of the City
Council.
WHEREAS, Article 5, Section 1, of the revised Personnel Rules hereby states that, "The position
classification plan shall be so developed and maintained and that all positions substantially similar with
respect to duties, authority, responsibility and working conditions are included within the same class, and that
the same schedules of compensation may be made to apply with equity under the working conditions to all
positions in the same class."
WHEREAS, the City Manager has ascertained and recorded the duties and responsibilities of all
positions in the Classified Service, after consulting with Personnel Officer, and has recommended an
amended Employee Classification Plan to include the positions of (Exhibit "1"):
Community Development Supervisor;
Parks and Trees Supervisor; and
Parks and Trees Assistant Worker
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the amendment to the Employee Classification Plan.
Section 2. The City Council hereby approves a salary range for the recommended classifications
in Exhibit "2".
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
