SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS - MEETING OF OCTOBER 12, 2010
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Planning Commission actions from
their meeting of October 12, 2010.
BACKGROUND:
Following is a summary of actions taken at the Planning Commission meeting of
October 12, 2010.
. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Planning Commission approved the minutes of September 28, 2010 with
minor amendments.
2. DISCUSSION REGARDING DRAFT CEQA GUIDELINES
Staff presented draft CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) guidelines for
review and discussion purposes. The Planning Commission's provided input and
directed staff to prepare final CEQA guidelines for Planning Commission review at
a future public hearing. Therefore, at a future meeting, staff will ask the Planning
Commission to make a recommendation to the City Council regarding adoption of
the final CEQA guidelines.
3. APPOINTMENT OF A PLANNING COMMISSIONER TO SERVE AS AN
ALTERNATE LIAISON TO THE YOUTH COMMITTEE.
The Planning Commission appointed Commissioner Chen as an alternate liaison
to the Youth Committee.

CONCLUSION:
The City Council is requested to review the Planning Commission actions of their
meeting of October 12, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2010-11 City Budget.
