Pulido, City Manager By: Bryan Ariizumi, Public Safety Officer - SUBJECT: PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION ACTIONS — MEETING OF FEBRUARY 9, 2011 RECOMMENDATION: The City Council is requested to receive and file the Public Safety Commission actions. BACKGROUND: On February 9, 2011, the Public Safety Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting. ANALYSIS Following is a summary of actions taken at the January 20, 2011 Public Safety Commission meeting: 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Public Safety Commission approved the minutes of January 20, 2011. 2. PARKING CITATION HEARINGS The Public Safety Commission held six hearings in person. The Commission upheld five citations and dismissed one citation. The Public Safety Commission reviewed ten hearings requested by written declaration and upheld ten citations. 3. REQUEST FOR GREEN CURB STREET PARKING IN FRONT OF 9600, 9624, City Council February 15, 2011 Page 2 9628, 9668, AND 9674 LAS TUNAS DRIVE The Public Safety Commission reviewed the five requests for green curb markings in the 9600 block of Las Tunas Drive. The Commission approved the green curb requests for 9624, 9628, 9668, and 9674 Las Tunas Drive and denied the request for 9600 Las Tunas Drive. One green curb will be installed in front of each approved business after the 15 day appeal period expires. CONCLUSION: The City Council is requested to review and receive the Public Safety Commission actions of their meeting of February 9, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2010-11 City Budget.
