Pulido, City Manager'` By: Mary Flandrick, City Clerk SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION OF A REQUEST FOR PLACEMENT AND REMOVAL OF A STREET BANNER BY FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH RECOMMENDATION: The City Council is requested to approve a request from First United Methodist Church to place and remove a street banner, subject to submission of proper insurance documentation. BACKGROUND: Attached is a request from First United Methodist Church for City staff to place and remove a street banner advertising their National Day of Prayer. The request includes the proposed placement of the banner during the period of April 25 through May 6, 2011, across Las Tunas Drive in front of Temple City Park. ANALYSIS: City Council approval of this request will allow First United Methodist Church to advertise their National Day of Prayer. CONCLUSION: The City Council is requested to consider a request by the First United Methodist Church for City staff to place and remove a street banner advertising their National Day of Prayer.
