Bicycle Friendly Committee
Notes from March 12, 2013 meeting
ATTENDEES: Sunni Brown, Bill Garbett, Paul Wolff, Diane Schleicher, Gina Casagrande, Major William
Moseley, Mr. Danny Carpenter
Ms. Brown called the meeting to order. Mr. Wolff moved to approve the minutes from the last meeting. Mr.
Garbett seconded. The minutes were approved.
Old Business:
I. Continued Discussion Regarding 2013 Tybee Youth Bicycle Rally – March 30, 2013
• After and In Concert with the Tybee American Legion Easter Egg Hunt
Ms. Schleicher advised that the current sponsors are:
• City of Tybee
• Police Department, two officers will help children cross Butler and intersections
• Bicycle Friendly Committee
• American Legion Post 154
• Tim’s Beach Gear
• Tybee YMCA
• Tybee Tourism Council
• Savannah Bicycle Campaign
• Safe Kids Savannah
• Fat Tire Bikes
Ms. Schleicher discussed the bike rally route and volunteers for the rally.
The committee discussed emphasis on bicycle safety.
Ms. Schleicher discussed items for prizes for the bicycle rally participants and the flyer for the Rally.
The committee discussed the final plans for the event, flyer and logistics for the Bicycle Rally.
Mr. Wolff motioned to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Garbett seconded. The meeting was adjourned.
