WHEN? • Design of sewer improvements will be complete in summer of 2017. • Construction of sewer improvements is anticipated in 2019. WHO WILL COMPLETE THE WORK? • Amec Foster Wheeler in partnership with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. MSD PROJECT CLEAR This project is part of MSD Project Clear, the initiative to improve water quality and alleviate many wastewater concerns in the St. Louis region. It will invest billions of dollars over a generation in planning, designing and building community rainscaping, system improvements, and an ambitious program of maintenance and repair. The purpose of the project is to alleviate basement backups and sewer overflows by increasing the capacity of the sewer system in the project area. Work will involve constructing 7,750 feet of 12-24 inch wastewater sewer and eliminating a constructed sewer outfall that currently discharges into tributaries of Creve Coeur Creek during periods of heavy rain.
