HomeMy Public PortalAboutEnviroscape flyer The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) works to raise awareness of non-point source pollution (sometimes called “People Pollution”), watersheds, and stormwater management. The EnviroScape® is a visual, hands-on tool that demonstrates how water pollution results from everyday activities such as fertilizing the lawn, walking your dog, changing motor oil and littering. When it rains, pollutants are washed into storm-drains that flow to our streams, rivers, and lakes. From the EnviroScape®, students will learn how everyone in their communities can reduce non-point source pollution and have healthier watersheds. The field of stormwater management is becoming more vital to our livelihoods, and future engineers and other professionals in STEM fields are needed to continue the progress. MSD has several EnviroScape® models available to borrow for FREE to St. Louis City and St. Louis County schools, within MSD service area. MSD offers the following: FREE training and teaching aids Training time = approx. 45 minutes School presentation time = approx. 20 minutes. FREE model delivery and pick-up available "EnviroScape is the leading teaching tool that water educators have for portraying the complexity and importance of water quality practices.” - President, The Groundwater Foundation To understand how EnviroScape® fits into your State's science standards, please contact: learn@enviroscapes.com Contact MSD at 314-436-8715 or email at rabieh@stlmsd.com to learn more The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow!
