ACCEPTING DOWNTOWN AND BUSINESS DISTRICT
IMPROVEMENT GRANT AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND BOROUGH CLERK
TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, the Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Middlesex have
established the Middlesex County Downtown and Business District Improvement Fund
(the "Program") to provide funding to local municipalities for certain types of
revitalization projects proposed for do~vntown areas or to;vn center; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") submitted a "Middlesex County
Downtown and Business District Improvement Fund" Grant Application dated
September 7, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Chosen Freeholders adopted a Resolution on March 21, 2002
authorizing the execution of a Grant Agreement in regard to a Program Grant to the
Borough in the amount of $59,600.00; and
WHEREAS, the Borough wishes to enter into said Agreement with the Middlesex
County Board of Chosen Freeholders for the above-mentioned Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough of Carteret, County of
Middlesex, that the Governing Body hereby accepts the conditions of the above
referenced Grant and authorizes the Mayor and Borough Clerk to execute any and all
documents necessary to secure said funding.
