Minutes
Monday, May 23, 2022 — 5:00 p.m.

COMMITTEE MEETING — Began at 530 p.m.
• CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Committee members Dawn Matus, Susan
Farber, Craig Vroom, Cynthia Dittmer, and Dallas Young were present. Also, in
attendance was Delta James, Economic Development Planner.
• MINUTES APPROVAL [ACTION ITEM]
Susan moved; Dallas seconded a motion to approve the minutes from the April 25,
2022, meeting as submitted. All members voted "aye" and the motion passed.
• PUBLIC ART PROJECTS
• "Conserving the Heart of Idaho" public art: No report.
• McCall Public Library Integrated Art project: Staff reported that the artwork
selection committee met again and chose two finalist artists (Aarti and
Thurston) and invited each to develop two specific design proposals for the
project — one for half the budget amount and one for the full amount. These
proposals will then be vetted via community input and be brought to the
committee for a recommendation to the Library Board and City Council.
• Downtown mural project: Staff reported that funding is still awaiting award on
the FY22 LOT contingency list. Notification should be occur in August 2022.
• EXISTING COLLECTION MAINTENANCE & MANAGEMENT
• Debrief artwork assessments: Staff reported that the Laidlaws will be
installing a new plaque for "Our Confluence" soon. Susan reported that
Centennial Park has several maintenance issues to aspects that are not the
public artwork.
• CAPACITY & PROMOTION
• FY23 LOT application — light box wraps: An application for funding was
submitted for consideration.
• Kit Worthington Foundation for the Arts: Staff reported that the Foundation
would consider funding up to $500 for a student apprenticeship associated
with the downtown mural project.
• Committee annual report to City Council — May 26: Dawn will present the
annual report on Thursday this week.

• Monday, June 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
• ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 5:37 p.m.
