APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH Date or
GEORGE A. KOTEEN ASSOCIATES, INC, -UTILITY AUDIT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ("Borough") desires to enter into an
agreement with George A. Koteen Associates, Inc. ("Koteen") to perform
an audit of the Borough's utility charges and services; and
WHEREAS, Koteen has extensive experience in providing said services to
municipalities; and
WHEREAS, Koteen has submitted a proposed Agreement to audit the
Borough's utility charges and services at no initial cost to the Borough, but
instead will receive fifty percent (50%) of the monthly reduction in utility
charges for a thirty-six (36) month period and 50% of any refund or
credits obtained on behalf of the Borough as a result of the audit and
recommendations performed by Koteen; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the above described
proposal and has determined that it is in the public's interest to pursue
the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ZT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New 3ersey, as follows:
1. That the Agreement with George A. Koteen
Associates, Inc., a copy of which is attached'hereto and
made a part hereof, to audit the Borough's utility charges to
uncover overcharges and to recover reimbursement for the
same on behalf of the Borough is hereby approved.
2. The appropriate Borough officials are hereby
authorized and directed to assist George A. Koteen
Associates, Inc., and to supply whatever information may be
needed by Koteen to conduct its audit of the Borough's
utility invoices.
3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
attached Agreement with Koteen Associates.
2. This Agreement is made as an extraordinary,
unspecifiable service.
