AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH T&M ASSOCIATES - 2002
SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional engineering
services as part of the Borough's 2002 Neighborhood Rehabilitation Program,
Collector Road Improvement Program and The County Overlay Program to
include the preparation of plans and specifications for the cleaning and televising
of sewer Iines located beneath various roadways which are scheduled to be paved
as part of the above road improvement program; and
WHEREAS, following the review of the videotapes prepared as part of the sewer
investigation, a sewer rehabilitation plan will be developed, a report of the
conditions and findings wilI be submitted to the Borough; and
WHEREAS, T&M Associates, possesses the requisite skill and expertise to
provide said engineering services; and
WHEREAS, T&M Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said
engineering services at a total cost not to exceed $4,200.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal of T&M Associates for engineering services to
develop plans and specifications for the cleaning and televising of
sewer lines at various locations, and to review said videotapes and
prepare a sewer rehabilitation plan in an amount not to exceed
$4,200.00 is hereby approved.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal;
3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
T&M Associates for the above referenced services.
4. This action is approved as an award of a professional services
Contract pursuant to N.J.S.A.40A:I1-5(I)(a).

and certified as a true copy of the
original on April 5, 2002.
