Dear Mayor,
I would like to take a moment to inform you of an upcoming change to Sparklight's video service.We are excited to
announce the launch of our new IP-based TV service, Sparklight TV, which will provide cloud-based video
programming, a more robust guide, DVR capabilities and more, to both our residential and business customers.
Sparklight TV will enable customers to stream video content to nearly any device in their home or business using an
app and streaming device over our reliable,fiber-based infrastructure.
We will begin offering Sparklight TV to new video customers beginning August 25, 2021.With the switch from linear
to IP-based TV,Sparklight TV will deliver advanced cable TV features in a simple and convenient app designed to run
on popular streaming devices such as Amazon Fire TV,Android TV,and Apple TV.
Following our launch to new customers,we will schedule our transition for existing video customers to Sparklight TV.
This date has yet to be determined.At which time we identify a target date to transition existing customers,we will
notify them of this change and begin assisting them with the switch to Sparklight TV.
At the end of our transition period,our current method of delivery(using cable boxes)will be discontinued,and cable
boxes will be turned off. During the transition period, customers will receive multiple communications with
information regarding this change.
Sparklight TV comes with the following features:
Residential:Sparklight TV Plus:$12/per month (fee replaces existing customer fees for cable/DVR boxes which cost
up to$15 per month)
• Up to 6 simultaneous screens of TV viewing
• 200 hours of DVR recording capability
• Video on Demand (cable programming)
• Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward capability
• Restart of programming to the beginning of TV shows
Business:Sparklight TV-Varying pricing/packaging
• Up to 9 simultaneous screens of TV viewing
• Video on Demand (cable programming)
• Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward capability
• Restart of programming to the beginning of TV shows
