SPECIAL SESSION

MONDAY, MAY 5, 1997 3:00 P.M. CITY HALL
The Greencastle Board of Works met in Special Session Monday, May 5, 1997, 3:00 p.m. at City
Hall. Mayor Michael called the meeting to order. On the Roll Call, the followine were found to
be present: Sue Murray and George Murphey. Also present: Water Superintendent Terry Date,
Water Bookkeeper Margaret Alexander, Wastewater Superintendent Charlene Nichols and
Wastewater Bookkeeper Madonna Gose.
The purpose of this meeting is to review Water and Sewage Budgets for 1997. Sewage Budget
was discussed first. Recommendations were made to watch this budget month by month and at
this time no pick -up truck can be purchased. If possible a lease /purchase will be made for the
pick up truck. Expenditures are to be monitored closely.
Water Budget was discussed nest. With additions errors and an additional $27,000.00 having tc
be added for FICA due to 53,000.00 being budget when it should have been $30,000.00, this
budget will also be monitored very closely. The lawn mower and dump truck were cut from the
budget and computer software and purchase of meters were put on hold.
CT Jones asked that the June 18 Board of Works meeting be changed due to Clerk School in
Indianapolis. The June Board of Works will be held June 25th, 4:00 pm at the City Street
Department.
Being no further business George Murphey made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Sue
Murray. Vote was unanimous. n
