A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY
TREASURER TO APPROVE CLAIMS AND DEMANDS FOR JANUARY
2, 2024
WHEREAS, As part of the Consent Calendar, City Council approves the Warrant
Register during each regular City Council Meeting, after which the City issues payments based
on that warrant register;
WHEREAS, on November 7, 2023 the City Council approved to cancel the January 2,
2024 due to the New Year's Day holiday schedule; and
WHEREAS, In order to ensure that City vendors are paid in a timely manner, City Council
has been requested to give authorization to the City Manager and the City Treasurer to approve
the claims and demands for January 2, 2024 and make payments thereon, and finally to bring
those claims and demands to the City Council at its meeting of January 16, 2024 for ratification
of the payments made.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager and City Treasurer to
approve claims and demands for January 2, 2024; and
Section 2. The City Council hereby directs the City Manager to bring the Warrant Register
of claims and demands to the meeting of January 16, 2024 for presentation to the City Council
and Council ratification of payments made; and
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
