EPA GRANT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY
AND STORM SEWER SYSTEMS IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
1N AND BY THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, IN THE
COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF
CARTERET, IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. $1,451,800 is hereby appropriated from an EPA Grant for the construction
of sanitary and storm sewer systems improvement projects either by rehabilitation or
replacement, with combined system separation to eliminate overflows and illegal
interconnections in and by the Borough of Carteret, in the County of Middlesex,
New Jersey. The total cost of the project is $2,640,000, which represents a grant
from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and $1,188,200 available pursuant
to bond ordinance 00-34 finally adopted August 29, 2000.
Section 2. The capital budget of the Borough of Carteret is hereby amended to
conform with the provisions of this ordinance to the extent of any inconsistency
herewith. The resolution in the fom~ promulgated by the Local Finance Board
showing full detail of the amended capital budget and capital program as approved
by the Director of the Division of Local Government Services is on file with the
Clerk and is available there for public inspection.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect as provided by the law.
