A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE.AN AGREEMENT WITH LOS
ANGELES COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCAT.ION (LACOE) TO PROVIDE SPACE
AND TRAINING FOR THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY REGIONAL
OCCUPATIONAL (LACOROP)
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been working with the Lynwood
Unified School District Regional Occupational Program for the past 3 years; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has placed 25-30 students at various
offices throughout the City each school year from November - June; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is participating in this program to provide
fundamental clerical skills and hands-on office training to prepare students to
meet the minimum requirements of many entry-level clerical and related positions
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section 1. The Lynwood City Council approves the Community
Classroom Agreement between the City of Lynwood and the Los Angeles County
Office of Education.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute the attached agreement
On an annual basis.
Section3. This resolution shall _g_~ into effect immediately after
adoption. ~
