A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO DAMON CONSTRUCTION CO. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $247,240 FOR THE SIDEWALK AND CURB RAMP
IMPROVEMENTS AROUND ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS PROJECT, PROJECT
NUMBER 5-5271, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Sidewalk Improvement Project is funded with Hazard
Elimination System Grant Funds (HES); and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on September 1, 2005, and Damon
Construction Co. was the lowest apparent bidder at $247,240; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the Sidewalk and Curb Ramp
Improvement around Elementary Schools Project, Project Number 5-5271, be
awarded to Damon Construction Co. for its bid of $247,240.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
agreement between the City of Lynwood and Damon Construction Co.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of September 2005.
