Public Comment: No public comment received. Annette Spickard - City Manager, Kara Jeffus. Approve Minutes for May 11, 2022, Meeting: No changes, unanimously approved. Eric's Report: • Close to fully staffed. • Haven't heard back from Landscapes Unlimited. They have started at Osprey Meadows and at Jug Mountain. • Oval culverts have been ordered to replace all bridges. • Granite is going to rebid the ramp with pavers instead of concrete, which should be cheaper and the hoping to complete in August. Shopping to rent a ramp or a lift in the interim. • Irrigation has not started yet, partially due to so much rain. • Budget meeting today, looking at 1.35 million this year. Hard to figure out a year from now as fuel prices are so high. Just paid twice what was paid last year. $25,000 set aside from percent increase in fees specifically earmarked for the masterplan. The reserve requirement of $230,000 has been met, left over is $171,000. Old loan is $80,000 that needs to be paid. A balance of $91,000. Discussion ensued regarding asking the City Council to forgive the $80,000 loan. This will be an open item for the next meeting. Forgiving this will result in investment in the future of the golf course. • New mechanic Ted Austin is fitting in nicely. Calvin Clark the new assistant is also doing well. • LOT monies gave us $40,000 for paths this year and $10,000 for the on - course year around restrooms. $40,000 was granted last year too. $30,000 may be granted toward the restroom, if there are any monies unused. Allan's Report: • Down in green fees compared to last year due to poor weather conditions. However, year to date we are still well above last year and the five-year running average. • Fire fighter (Joe Becker) fund raiser to benefit "burn -out fund" this Saturday 9AM shotgun. • Following weekend is Two Man Best Ball - still 300 and full. Old Business: Proshop going forward update from Anette Spickard • At the July 1st City Council meeting Annette will be recommending that the city manage the pro shop and the golf course. PGA pro will likely be the overarching manager but work for the city as will the Assistant Pro and seasonals. The teaching Pro will likely be on contract. The restaurant is a separate lease on a five-year renewal period. The city will "buy-out" all the inventory and golf carts from Allan as per the contract. • Review Project List: Tee construction rebuild getting bids Landscapes Unlimited; Men's club is committing $10,000. We have capital budgeted for forward tees and leveling of existing tees. Installing 3 RV hookups to help alleviate employee housing issues. Monthly Topic: Review Golf Course Rules and Regulations - No rain checks for nine -hole tee times. Rules and Regs. are currently posted in the men's room; need to post in the lady's room and need to add to the website. New Business: Formalize the proposal to forgive the $80,000 dept to the city - Rita will draft an initial letter for advisory perusal prior to the July 1st City Council Meeting. Men's club alternate will be brought forward at the next meeting. Next Meeting: July 13, 2022, 5:00 PM Topic: Review five-year plan Adjournment: 6:17 PM
