RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A NON -FAIR
AND OPEN CONTRACT FOR 2023 PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
)EFICIENCIES REPAIRS FOR THE INTERSECTION OF INDUSTRIAL
ROAD AND ROOSEVELT AVENUE — HILL SECTION
WHEREAS, the BOROUGH OF CARTERE'r is in need of preventative maintenance
deficiencies repairs for the iuterseelion of Industrial Road and Roosevelt Avenue in the
Hill Section in the Borough as a non -fair and open contract pursuant to the provisions of
N.JS.A. 19:44A-20.4 or 20.5; and
WHEREAS, JenElectric, Inc. has submitted a proposal indicating they will provide these
services for $9,875.75; and
WHEREAS, JenElectric, Inc., 631 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081, has
completed and submitted a Business Entity Disclosure Certification which certifies that
JenElectric, Inc. has not made any reportable contributions to a political or candidate
committee in the Borough of Carteret in the previous one year, and that the contract will
prohibit JenElectric, Inc. from making any reportable contributions through the term of
the contract, and
WHEREAS, the CFO has certified the availability of funds; and

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret authorizes the CFO to enter into a contract with JenElectric, Inc. as described
herein; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that'the Business Disclosure Entity Certification and
the Determination of Value be placed on file with this resolution.
