"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING
AN INCREASE IN THE CITY MANAGER'S CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER APPROVAL
LIMIT TO $70,000.00 FOR ADDITIONAL WORK ON THE LYNWOOD RD. WATER MAIN
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 05-5300%
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Rd. Water Main Improvement Project, Project Number
05-5300 is scheduled for completion during FY 2004-2005 and:
WHEREAS, additional work is needed on the Lynwood Rd. Water Main
Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, additional improvements amount will exceed the City Manager's
contract change order approval limits of $50,000.00; and
WHEREAS, an increase to a $70,000.00 change order approval limit will cover
all additional work; and
WHEREAS, City Council wishes to complete this project on time; and
WHEREAS, Section 6-3.15 paragraph d, of the Lynwood Municipal Code allows
Council, by resolution, to authorize the City Manager to exceed the contract change
order approval limits.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute contract
change orders, for a total not to exceed $70,000.00, for the Lynwood Rd. Water
Main Improvement Project, Project No. 05-5300.
Section 2 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
