November 9, 2023 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A NON -FAIR AND OPEN CONTRACT FOR 2023 PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE DEFICIENCIES REPAIRS FOR THE INTERSECTION OF INDUSTRIAL ROAD AND POLICElFIRE HEADQUARTERS WHEREAS, the BOROU(?H OF CARTERET is in need of preventative maintenance deficiencies repairs for the intersection of Industrial Road and Police/Fire Headquarters in the Borough as a non -fair and open contract pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 19.•44A-20.4 or 20.5; and WHEREAS, JenElectrie, Inc. has submitted a proposal indicating they will provide these services for $17,986.90; and WHEREAS, JenEtectric, Inc., 631 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081, has completed and submitted a Business Entity Disclosure Certification which certifies that JenElectric, Inc. has not made any reportable contributions to a political or candidate committee in the Borough of Carteret in the previous one year, and that the contract will prohibit JenElechic, Inc. from making any reportable contributions through the term of the contract, and WHEREAS, the CFO has certified the availability of funds; and Account #: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret authorizes the CFO to enter into a contract with JenElectric, Inc. as described herein; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Business Disclosure Entity Certification and the Determination of Value be placed on file with this resolution.
