ORDINANCE NO. 66 -197
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AMENDING SUBPARAGRAPH
2 OF ARTICLE IX,ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO.
65-168, OF THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE,
RELATING TO MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING
COMMISSION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Subparagraph 2 of Article IX of the
Temple City Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read as follows,
"2. MEMBERS. The Planning Commission of this
City shall consist of five (5) members appointed for
two -year terms by the Mayor, subject to the approval
of the City Council. No person shall be eligible
for appointment to the Planning Commission unless he
is a resident and a registered, qualified voter of
this City at the time of appointment and at all times
during his term of office. Any Commission member may
be removed with or without cause by a majority vote
of the City Council. Vacancies to the Commission
shall be filled by the Councilmen the same manner as
new appointments are made, except that such an appoin-
tee shall serve only for the unexpired term of the
person whose seat he has been appointed to."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify the adop-
tion of this ordinance and cause the same to be published in
the manner prescribed by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of June, 1966.

No. 66 -197, was introduced at an adjourned meeting of the City
Council of the City of Temple City, held on the 2nd day of
June, 1966, and was duly passed, approved and signed by the
Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at an adjourned regular
meeting of said City Council held on the 8th day of June,
1966, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Beckley, Clemson, Harker, Merritt, Tyrell
NOES: Councilmen: None
