AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF BIDS FOR AN AMBULANCE
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that the Borough of
Carteret is in need of an ambulance to protect the health, safety and welfare of the
Borough's residents; and
WHEREAS, the cost for said ambulance will exceed the bid threshold
established pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council
of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. That the Borough's Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized
to prepare bid specifications for a new ambulance and is further
authorized to advertise for the receipt of formal bid proposals
therefore.
2. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Borough's Purchasing Agent and the Carteret Board of Health.
Adopted this 18th day of April, 2002
and certified as a true copy of the
original on April 19, 2002.
