A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION OF VENDORS THROUGH THE INFORMAL BID
PROCESS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING A COPIER UNIT FOR THE
RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood offers a diverse array of activities for all age
groups, interests and ability levels; and
WHEREAS, in order to reasonably market and advertise these programs it is
necessary to prepare and distribute thousands of flyers as well as other programmatic
materials and related documentation; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of these services would be more economically and
efficiently effected through the use of the informal bid process; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by a 4/5 vote can approve funding through an
alternate bid procedure;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council waives the formal bid procedure for the acquisition
of a vendor to provide a copier unit for the Recreation & Community Services
Department.
Section 2. This resolution becomes effective immediately upon its adoption.
