RESOLUTION NO. 2018.164
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE LYNWOOD COMMITMENT COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to present a community engagement
program entitled "The Lynwood Commitment"; and
WHEREAS, the active engagement of residents and the maintenance of public
spaces are key to a community's quality of life; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council, in addition to existing City operations,
desires to further help keep the Lynwood community clean through public education and
engagement efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND,
ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: •
Section 1. The City Council for the City of Lynwood finds and declares that the
forgoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates said recitals fully into this
Resolution as substantive findings.
Section 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the use of necessary staff
support, as determined by the City Manager, for the "Lynwood Commitment" program to
take place on September 22, 2018.
Section 3. That the funding appropriation in the amount of $6,000 be allocated
from Account #1011.60.701.64020.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 4th day of September 2018.
