A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND
GUERRA PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR THE PREPARATION,
PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF A CITY PUBLICATION
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to avail itself of the services of Guerra
Professional Services ("GPS") for the purpose of producing a monthly publication (the "City
Publication") for Lynwood residents and the business community in the City; and
WHEREAS, GPS possesses the requisite expertise and ability to meet the needs for the
production of the City Publication; and
WHEREAS, the selection of GPS was the result of an RFP process that allowed the City
to evaluate competing proposals for the production of the City Publication; and
WHEREAS, on March 1, 2005 the Council selected the GPS proposal from among the
proposals presented and directed the City Attorney to prepare a contract for the performance of
the work required to produce the City Publication.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND
DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to execute the attached CONSULTING
AGREEMENT with GPS on behalf of the City for the production of the City Publication.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized and directed to oversee the production of the
City Publication on behalf of the City.
Section 3. That this Resolution is to be given effect upon its adoption by the City
Council of the City of Lynwood and execution of the same by the appropriate parties.
