A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ACCEPTING THE LONG BEACH BLVD. STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT, PROJECT, NO. 05-5084 (FEDERAL PROJECT NO. 07-1-LA-0-LYN-
STPLMA-5250(001)), AS BEING COMPLETE
WHEREAS, on November 18, 2003, the City Council awarded a contract to
Sequel Contractors Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the project started on January 20, 2004, and was completed on
September 10, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Long Beach Blvd. Street Improvement Project is funded by
S.T.P. Funds; and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $720,475.57; and
WHEREAS, staff conducted the final inspection on November 8, 2004 and
found that all work had been completed in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
However, staff found certain discrepancies in the final quantities; and
WHEREAS, the city and the contractor have reached a resolution for the final
quantities on February 1,2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council accepts the Long Beach Blvd. Street
Improvement Project, Project No. 05-5084 (Federal Project No. 07-1-LA-0-LYN-STPLMA-
5250(001)), as being complete and in accordance with contract documents.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5'h ~of April, 2~5.
