Minutes of the meeting of
January 16th, 2012
Present: Sue Bentley ,Dottie Kluttz, Monti Parks, Neca Stoller, Historic Preservation Advisor- Cullen Chambers, City Council Member Bill Garbett.
Meeting called to order at 6:05 at the Tybee Island Guard House .
Motion to approve minutes from the December 19th, 2011 meeting made by Monti Parks, 2nd by Sue Bentley. All in favor.
Discussion on February 23rd presentation on proposed South End District to City Council. Dottie Kluttz recommended that we invite at least historic property owners in the district to
speak in favor of the district. Members made suggestions such as Diane Kaufman, Steve Strickland, Frank Kelly etc. Discussion should focus on economic advantages to property owners.
The members discussed terms of existing members to clarify HPC
members tenure.
