HomeMy Public PortalAbout10954O R D I N A N C E NO. 10954 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($2,650,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Roger Place Combined Sewer Relief (93052), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of the aforesaid combined sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two Million Four Hundred Ten Thousand One Hundred Twenty-eight Dollars ($2,410,128.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-two Dollars ($239,872.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($2,650,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Roger Place Combined Sewer Relief (93052), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of combined sewers in Roger Place Combined Sewer Relief (93052), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of March, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 10, 2001 by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and C.D. Seward. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
