AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million One Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($1,100,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers
in Bayless and Reed Sanitary Relief (99057), in the City of Bella Villa and
unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth &
Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary and storm
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary and
storm sewers is Nine Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Twenty-eight and
60/100 Dollars ($975,028.60), and the allowance for construction
change orders is One Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Nine Hundred
Seventy-one and 40/100 Dollars ($124,971.40), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($1,100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of
sanitary and storm sewers in Bayless and Reed Sanitary Relief (99057),
in the City of Bella Villa and unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as
the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary and storm
sewers in Bayless and Reed Sanitary Relief (99057), in the City of Bella
Villa and unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 10th day of April, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effective immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 10, 2001 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, A.J. Soukenik, J.W.
Siscel, and C.D. Seward.
Nays – None.
