AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-two Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($22,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm sewers in Antonette Hills and Dana
Storm Sewer (2000072), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Truss
Brothers Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid
storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers
is Nineteen Thousand Sixty-four Dollars ($19,064.00), and the allowance
for construction change orders is Three Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-
six Dollars ($3,436.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-two Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($22,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Antonette
Hills and Dana Storm Sewer (2000072), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Truss Brothers Construction
Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm
sewers in Antonette Hills and Dana Storm Sewer (2000072), in St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day
of April, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing was adopted on May 10, 2001 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, A.J. Soukenik, J.W.
Siscel, and C.D. Seward.
