HomeMy Public PortalAbout10963O R D I N A N C E NO. 10963 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) from the General Fund of the District for the CSO-River des Peres Beautification (Planning Study) 2001134; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with the United States Army Corps of Engineers whereby the District will contribute a portion of the costs of the CSO-River des Peres Beautification (Planning Study) 2001134 to develop a scope and preliminary conceptual beautification plan for the River des Peres greenway. WHEREAS, said study has been undertaken by the United States Army Corps of Engineers pursuant to Section 22 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1974, as amended by Section 319 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1990, and WHEREAS, the District has agreed to contribute to the costs of said study, and WHEREAS, the recommended improvements will be supported as part of the CSO Long Term Control Plan for beautification projects, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the District for the CSO-River des Peres Beautification (Planning Study) 2001134 for the River des Peres greenway. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with the United States Army Corps of Engineers whereby the District will contribute a portion of the costs of the CSO-River des Peres Beautification (Planning Study) 2001134. Section Three. The contract authorized in Section Two of this ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 10, 2001 by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and C.D. Seward. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
