AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Steffen-Tieman-Oldenberg Sanitary Relief
(99099) in the City of St. Louis and unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility
Company Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million Eight Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-two Dollars
($1,823,982.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One
Hundred Seventy-six Thousand Eighteen Dollars ($176,018.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Steffen-Tieman-Oldenberg
Sanitary Relief (99099), in the City of St. Louis and unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri.

Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Steffen-Tieman-Oldenberg Sanitary
Relief (99099), in the City of St. Louis and unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 26th day of April, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 14, 2001 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and
C.D. Seward.
