AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Thirteen
Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($213,800.00) from the Improvement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers
in Mehl and Ringer Sanitary Sewers (95044), in unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers is Two Hundred Three Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-seven
75/100 Dollars ($203,687.75), and the allowance for construction
change orders is Ten Thousand One Hundred Twelve and 25/100 Dollars
($10,112.25), and
WHEREAS, St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to the
Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has agreed to
reimburse the District for the total costs of said project; upon the receipt
of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Improvement Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Thirteen Thousand
Eight Hundred Dollars ($213,800.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of
sanitary sewers in Mehl and Ringer Sanitary Sewers (95044), in
unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as
the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Mehl and Ringer Sanitary Sewers (95044), in unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day
of May, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effective immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 14, 2001 by the following
vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, A.J. Soukenik, J.W.
Siscel, and C.D. Seward.
Nays – None.
Secretary-Treasurer
