AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($300,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Blackjack – Dellwood Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm improvements in
Edgefield – Monarch Channel Improvement (MCBJ – 260) #99109, in St.
Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc.
for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
improvements is Two Hundred Sixty-eight Thousand Eight Hundred Ten
Dollars ($268,810.00), and the allowance for construction change orders
is Thirty-one Thousand One Hundred Ninety Dollars ($31,190.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of
Blackjack – Dellwood Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm improvements in Edgefield-Monarch Channel
Improvement (MCBJ – 260) #99109, in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction
Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm
improvements in Edgefield-Monarch Channel Improvement (MCBJ – 260)
#99109, in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 14th day of May, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W.
Siscel, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
