HomeMy Public PortalAbout11008 ORDINANCE NO. 11008 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Black Jack Creek Subtrunk Sanitary Relief Sewer Phase III (98061), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-two Dollars ($1,175,322.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($124,678.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Black Jack Creek Subtrunk Sanitary Relief Sewer Phase III (98061), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Black Jack Creek Subtrunk Sanitary Relief Sewer Phase III (98061) in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 31st day of May, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
