HomeMy Public PortalAbout11009 ORDINANCE NO. 11009 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC - 01 Felton, Arlee and Vida to Clyde Sanitary Relief Phase I (90056), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Two Hundred Sixty-three Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-one Dollars ($1,263,671.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-nine Dollars ($136,329.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC - 01 Felton, Arlee and Vida to Clyde Sanitary Relief Phase I (90056), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC - 01 Felton, Arlee and Vida to Clyde Phase I Sanitary Relief (90056), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 1st day of June, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
