HomeMy Public PortalAbout11010 ORDINANCE NO. 11010 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($550,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Moritz to White Sanitary Relief (99031), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Four Hundred Eighty-two Thousand Nine Hundred One Dollars ($482,901.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Sixty-seven Thousand Ninety-nine Dollars ($67,099.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($550,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Moritz to White Sanitary Relief (99031), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Moritz to White Sanitary Relief (99031), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 4th day of June, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
