HomeMy Public PortalAbout11011 ORDINANCE NO. 11011 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($425,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Innisfail Storm Channel Phase II (88041B), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Three Hundred Eighty-seven Thousand One Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($387,116.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-seven Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-four Dollars ($37,884.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($425,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Innisfail Storm Channel Phase 2 II (88041B), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Innisfail Storm Channel Phase II (88041B), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of June, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
