ORDINANCE NO. 11012
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars
($120,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Conway Road - Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary
Rehabilitation (99101), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Hundred Nine Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-eight and 40/100 Dollars
($109,478.40), and the allowance for construction change orders is Ten Thousand Five
Hundred Twenty-one and 60/100 Dollars ($10,521.60), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars
($120,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Conway Road - Creve Coeur Creek
Sanitary Rehabilitation (99101), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Conway Road - Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary
Rehabilitation (99101), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 7th day of June, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
