ORDINANCE NO. 11013
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($410,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Smiley Road Sanitary Sewer Replacement
(2000067), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the construction of
the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Three
Hundred Seventy-three Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-eight Dollars ($373,658.00), and
the allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-six Thousand Three Hundred
Forty-two Dollars ($36,342.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($410,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Smiley Road Sanitary Sewer
Replacement (2000067), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Smiley Road Sanitary Sewer Replacement
(2000067), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 8th day of June, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
