Thousand Dollars ($1,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for Lower Meramec River WWTP Site Preparation
Phase I (95066E), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction
Company, Inc. for the aforesaid project.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid project is One Million Two
Hundred Forty-seven Thousand Twenty-nine Dollars ($1,247,029.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Fifty-two Thousand
Nine Hundred Seventy-one Dollars ($152,971.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Thousand
($1,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund
to be used for project costs for Lower Meramec River WWTP Site Preparation
Phase I (95066E), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into a contract with J. H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder for Lower Meramec River WWTP Site Preparation
Phase I (95066E), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of
June, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W.
Siscel, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
