AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Nine Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($3,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for Harlem-Baden Relief (Ashland-Abner) Sewer Construction (99144C), in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid project.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid project is Three Million Five
Hundred Twenty-seven Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-three and 90/100 Dollars
($3,527,283.90), and the allowance for construction change orders is Three Hundred
Seventy-two Thousand Seven Hundred Sixteen and 10/100 Dollars ($372,716.10), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for Harlem - Baden (Ashland-Abner) Sewer Construction (99144C), in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for Harlem-
Baden Relief (Ashland-Abner) Sewer Construction (99144C), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 12th day of June, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
